On World Recycling Day, we at Achenbach would like to emphasize our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. Since 2020, we have been actively carrying out a systematic collection of aluminum waste such as household foil, menu trays, yogurt lids and coffee capsules. This initiative is not limited to today, but is an ongoing effort by our company.
Our staff kitchens and depot are equipped with separate collection bins to facilitate waste separation and ensure that all aluminum waste is 100% recycled. This approach underlines our commitment to a sustainable future and shows that we as a company take our responsibility towards the environment seriously.
Furthermore, we would like to emphasize that our efforts not only bring ecological benefits, but also serve a charitable purpose. The proceeds from the sale of the collected aluminum will go towards the refurbishment of a local church organ, which will have a direct and positive impact on our community.
In addition to waste management, we at Achenbach also attach great importance to the production of fully recyclable aluminum products. We produce sustainable packaging solutions and battery foils for electric vehicles on our rolling mills and cutting machines. These products help to reduce our ecological footprint and shape a more sustainable future.
