From the coil to the chocolate bar

As part of the training programme at Achenbach, parts and assemblies for our OPTIMILL rolling mills and OPTIFOIL cutting machines are manufactured and assembled in the second year of training. This made it all the more exciting for our apprentices to see their own systems in real operation. Together with their supervisors, they recently had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes as part of their group trip to Vienna. At our long-standing customer Constantia Teich, our junior staff were able to gain an impression of how high-quality aluminium foil is produced and how sustainable packaging solutions are created from it. Most of them were particularly impressed by the fact that they were able to experience the entire value creation process at Europe's largest manufacturer of flexible packaging material. "From rolling, printing and cutting to the finished packaging for the chocolate bar, everything is done here," said Max Wolzenburg, a first-year apprentice at Achenbach. "It's great that we contribute to this with our Achenbach machines."
