IMPOL Slovenia orders Achenbach OPTIFOIL HeavySlit®

Our longstanding customer IMPOL GROUP has decided on a new Achenbach OPTIFOIL HeavySlit® Slitting Machine. This investment will further enhance the competitive edge of IMPOL in the aluminium foil rolling market. The order was placed with Achenbach based on extensive technical and technological exchange between both partners.

The new foil slitter for heavier gauges is designed to cover existing production capacity, as well as utilizing the available cold rolling capacity for new products for applications in automotive, architecture and food packaging.

Additional features and options, e.g., winding shafts for different diameters, slitting cassettes for roll shear cut and single contact rollers for narrow roll shear cut products make this slitter a unique and versatile production unit. Finally, the machine is equipped with Achenbach OPTILINK®, allowing access to the cloud-based system networking. Amongst other features, it provides continuous monitoring of the machine’s condition and ease of remote maintenance support. Furthermore, OEE analysis helps to improve availability, productivity and quality related parameters. The Heavyslit equipment is scheduled to start production during the second half of 2026.

We are proud and thank IMPOL for their trust and renewed commitment to this partnership, which has existed for more than four decades – to make changes for the better.
