On 15 November 2024, the ballroom of the Hilton Hotel became a stage for outstanding ideas and pioneering innovative spirit. This is where the ife Award 2024 for Innovator of the Year was presented in a festive setting, with Felix Menn and Jürgen Achenbach accepting the award on behalf of Achenbach:
We were honoured with the ife Award - an award presented to companies that have successfully implemented innovative products, processes or business models in individual production or as project service providers - for our UniHeat® Curved Hot Edge System. With this technology, heat is generated inductively directly in the roll in order to optimise the quality of the rolled material across the entire width - including at the strip edges. The innovative design of the system not only improves product quality, but also significantly reduces energy consumption.
In addition, our commitment to sustainable technologies and environmentally friendly solutions was recognised with the 💚 Green Innovator of the Year award. Alongside other technologies, the UniHeat® system helps to minimise the ecological footprint of aluminium production and reduce energy consumption and emissions.
The event attracted numerous representatives from industry and science, who emphasised the importance of innovation and sustainability in today's world.
For us, this evening was not only a special moment, but also a great incentive to continue working on innovative and sustainable solutions - for the future of industry and the environment, true to our motto: TO MAKE CHANGES FOR THE BETTER...TO BE ONE STEP AHEAD.
