Small mechanical engineering course for elementary school students

'Making things at Achenbach': For a good 15 years, the Year 3 pupils of the Friedrich von Bodelschwingh Primary School in Buschhütten have been coming to Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG once a year. After a healthy breakfast, they immerse themselves in the world of machine building for a few hours, organized in a child-friendly way. This year, due to corona, they were finally back and completed a small mechanical engineering course in manufacturing and assembly with turning, milling, drilling and 3D assembly. Divided into four groups, there was much to marvel at, learn, and do themselves. The eyes lit up and simply everyone would like to come again. Little Eliana says: "How old do you have to be to be allowed to work here? I'll be 10 soon and I'm not really interested in what other girls think is so great. But this, today, I think it's good, I want to work here, preferably soon."
